Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.

The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
